YouTube report provides insight into latest AI UGC trend
YouTube has published a new Culture & Trends report, looking at how people use generative AI to express themselves creatively – and it points to some interesting new UGC potential. In a survey of almost 700 US video posters aged 14 to 44, 72% said they use AI on their videos or images. 61% said they’re interested in using it to insert themselves into content, and more than two-thirds of those already making AI videos feature themselves in them. According to YouTube, many people use it for “digital costume changes” and imagining themselves in different roles. For artist teams, a logical use case would be to get fans to insert themselves into the artist’s music video as a shareable campaign element, for example. The post is from Music Ally.
